Call for papers We invite you to submit a high-quality abstract later followed by the final paper for your presentation at the Congress. Your paper/contribution should focus on one of the Congress Streams: Time dimension in project management Project management in the Mediterranean Basin and the Middle East Project management for large infrastructures and industrial plants Project management in public sectors and projects financed by international institutions Project management in main public events Project management in new fields New trends in project management Management by projects in the industry Project portfolio and business process management Project management in history Soft skills: education and certification benefits Complex project managers
The following submission guidelines have been prepared to help ensure the uniformity of the presentation and quality of the final documentation: The official Congress language is English. Papers and presentations should be free of commercial sales content. Papers and presentations should focus on the subject of the title, and preferably provide new contribution to the topic. The length of the abstract should be between 150 to 200 words. Abstracts shall be typed in '12 pt Times New Roman' font in the MS-Office Word format, 2000 or 2003 version. Each abstract must have a lead author who will serve as the primary contact for all correspondence. When submitting the abstract for consideration, the lead author needs to provide the following additional information: Title of the paper Name of lead author and other author(s) Up to 5 bullet points summarizing the content (aim, scope, main issues, conclusions) Author(s) affiliations and a short biography Lead author's postal address, phone, fax and email address Company/Institution's name and address
Length of the final paper should be between 1000 to 2000 words, with additional up to four A4 size paper for appendices and graphics. Together with the submission of the abstract itself, the author should permit publishing of the accepted paper on the Internet and in the Congress documentation.
Abstract submission deadline is January 31, 2008 and final paper submission deadline is July 31, 2008, both can be submitted by e-mail at: papers@ipmaroma2008.it
The most innovative and successful presentations will receive special Jury prizes. One week after the congress ends, papers will be available for downloading from the congress website. An individual password will be assigned upon registering for the congress which will allow you to enter the area reserved for the downloading.
Alternatively, you will be able to order a printed copy of the papers book when registering for the congress. Cost will be Euro 50,00 each. You will be able to collect your copy on-site from the Congress Secretariat.
