Project Manager

Group Name: Markets Projects

The Markets Projects team is a global group located in the US (White Plains), Europe (Tiverton & London) & Asia (Bangalore & Singapore). The projects group looks at managing small to large size global projects specific to the Markets vertical (Fixed Income, Equities Market Data, Equities Timeseries, Commodities & Energy, Forex & Money and any other real time related operation) within the data operations segment of the company. Projects will include customer and internal requests to add or enhance our content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Typically defines documents and manages the implementation of medium- to large-scale global projects.
Actively participates and leads all phases of the project from justification through completion.
This will include scoping, planning and managing resources, budgets, timelines and quality plans, monitoring, tracking, reporting and acting on all project activities appropriately.
Identifies, assesses and manages risks, issues and changes that will affect the outcomes of the project.
The project manager is responsible for ensuring that deliverables are planned and implemented to meet stakeholders desired level of service.
Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring that project team members are motivated and performing as required.
Out of hours work will be required as necessary to keep in touch with global project contacts and manage deliverables.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor degree with mandatory > 3 years relevant experience or non-bachelor degree holder with mandatory > 5 years relevant experience.
In addition, professional certification such as PMI PMP is desirable.
Experience must demonstrate managing projects to successfully deliver within specified timescales and budget.
Must have skills

In addition to the above educational requirements, a very good command of written and spoken English is required.
High level of proficiency with MS Office applications.
Organised and rigorous approach to work.
A good team player.
Self-starter, always ready to take initiative.
Proactive attitude to work.
Ability to work with and lead colleagues and managers at various levels in varied functional groups internationally is required.
Nice to have skills

Previous overseas experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of Reuters’ services and financial markets would be an advantage but not essential.
Competency with MS Project software.
Certifications (if any)

PMI PMP project management qualifications would be a distinct advantage
Any other skills

Must demonstrate ability to manage project teams.
Robust personality, strong in dealing with project conflict.
Excellent facilitation, influencing and interpersonal skills dealing with internal and external groups.
