Dogs: Low Market Share / Low Market Growth(瘦狗) In these areas, your market presence is weak, so it’s going to take a lot of hard work to get noticed. Also, you won’t enjoy the scale economies of the larger players, so it’s going to be difficult to make a profit. 当产品在某个市场区域的份额地,产出少,对于这种产品(线)及市场可以采取舍弃,不要将资源投入在此。 Cash Cows:(现金牛) High Market Share / Low Market Growth Here, you’re well-established, so it’s easy to get attention and exploit new opportunities. However it’s only worth expending a certain amount of effort, because the market isn’t growing and your opportunities are limited. 可为公司带来持续稳定的现金收入,但市场增长在逐步减缓,对于这种产品或产品线,采用维持的方法,较少或不要投入资源。 Stars:(明星) High Market Share / High Market Growth Here you’re well-established, and growth is exciting! These are fantastic opportunities, and you should work hard to realize them. 高市场份额,高增长率,应加大力度投入资源,积极进入。例如,我们在开发产品时,如果比如面向高端市场的产品销售好,产出高,可考虑在此多投入。比如在这个市场区域,用户对于手持设备的使用频率高,要求高,可考虑投入公司最强的研发人员在此产品(模块)上,将该产品(模块)做精做强,可以采用较先进的技术/技术平台,采用量化的系统架构,采用成熟的开发模式。 Question Marks (Problem Child):(调皮小子) Low Market Share / High Market Growth These are the opportunities no one knows what to do with. They aren’t generating much revenue right now because you don’t have a large market share. But, they are in high growth markets so the potential to make money is there. 对于这个市场,大家都持观望态度,对于这个市场的产出不是很明晰,就像隔壁的坏小子,很调皮,讨厌,但是却很聪明,谁也不能知道他将来是黑道老大,还是大公司的CEO。此时可采用观望态度,持续跟踪了解,不要投入资源。 Question Marks might become Stars and eventual Cash Cows, but they could just as easily absorb effort with little return.
