I use Agile to manage my projects in
the recent two years; it helped me and my workmates achieve many important
releases in our product. My team is the pioneer in the company for that new
adventure. So it’s my pleasure to share the typical working day in Agile life,
we use SCRUM to instruct our Agile.
Every morning I will check the backlog
to choose those important tasks for the whole day; meanwhile I will estimate
the risk for some blocked tasks in the project. I will have a standing meeting
with guys in front of whiteboard, adjust the items and update the to-do time
for remaining tasks. Finally, those changes will be filled up in Rally.
Whenever anyone complains to me for his slowness on assigned task, I will carefully
check with him on what had happened, encourage and help him to resolve that quickly.
But for Agile frequently embraces the changes and abides the failure, I am not
very worry about that. SCRUM convinced me that the final release comes from our
continually improvement and confident work by everyone’s daily life.
Every night, I will check the unit test cases execution result from mail, it is
also very important for me to care about the performance change. We strictly
follow the principles of XP; it really reduces the total risks of each project.
Agile improved the efficiency in my job; fill me with more confidence on the stability
of product. It ensures the timely delivery without depressed delay. (Our
product will get its new release twice a year)
