Experts from Port Authority of NY and NJ and Johnson & Johnson to Discuss Best Practices in Project Controls
PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 16, 2005 - Primavera Systems, Inc., today announced that two of its key customers will be presenting at the PMI College of Scheduling Conference, to be held May 22-25, 2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and the Center for Applied Research (CFAR) will present findings of CFAR's final report, "Learn by Doing: The Successful Adoption of Web-Based Collaborative Software", published this month. Prepared for the National Academies, the report reveals 10 best practices utilized by the PANYNJ through their strategic roll-out of Primavera across their Engineering organization's 600 projects. The presentation will take place on Monday, May 23rd at 9:45 a.m.
"CFAR will share the PANYNJ case as an example of a highly successful yet non-traditional approach to implementation, and offers participants a reality-based set of tools for the adoption of new technology," said Cassie Solomon-Gillis, Senior Manager for CFAR.
Primavera CTO Dick Faris, a founder and member of the board directors of the PMI College of Scheduling, will participate in a software panel discussion on Monday, May 23rd at 2:30 p.m. The interactive panel will focus on the best ways to model scheduling problems using software.
The Johnson & Johnson presentation, taking place Wednesday, May 25th at 8 a.m., will focus on Johnson & Johnson Worldwide Engineering and Real Estate's use of web-based collaboration to manage its multi-billion-dollar capital program.
"Primavera is pleased to be a part of this year's PMI College of Scheduling Conference," said Dick Faris, Primavera CTO. "The conference is an opportunity for us to learn from each others' challenges and collaborate as an industry. This kind of collaboration helps to carry the best uses of technology for planning and scheduling processes back to the field."
